Responsibilities include
  • the ability to operate a forklift in a safe, efficient  and proper manner
  • the ability to read and understand picking tickets in order to ensure the right item is being brought to the machines
  • ability to maneuver and pick up large reels of cable
  • Work in a timely manner in accordance to the work load and follow direction from the immediate supervisor
  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces such as trailers
Requirements
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed mostly in the morning by coming in early. 
  • Must have a least 2 yrs. experience with sit down forklift. Prefer licensed drivers. Training will be provided
  • Must be able to complete the essential functions of the job:
  • Able to physically lift and carry at least 50 pounds occasionally
  • Walk and stand for several hours in any shift
  • Get in and out of the forklift truck regularly
  • Able to visually identify items close and far
  • Able to hear and understand  normal level verbal communications and safety warnings
